Wash, brush, wash, brush... I'm a bad groomer?
"Not well groomed"
That's what our judge said to me in Tampere Int few weeks back. The dog that was so badly groomed is my shih tzu Hugo.
I cut Hugo's hair down a little bit over a year ago when he's eye popped out after a dog attacked on him. Our vet had to cut some of hes face hair of so they could work with the eye. When Hugo came back home I decided that he's going to need lots of time to recover so I cut all his hair off.
Hugo has enhanced himself over a year now, so in January I tough that its Hugo's time to start his show career again. Yes, he's coat is not so long that it would touch the ground, but it doesn't need much more to be full length.
Judge didn't like Hugo at all that day (2 month's earlier same judge told me that Hugo is a super dog , and she cave him Exc and made him to win his class ),
"not enough masculine. Too short in body. Undershort bite with twisted to right. Not enough deep stop. Too small eyes. Good neck. Not enough good chest, too prominent breast bone. Not enough long coat for the age. Not well groomed."Open G
I had also my chinese with me in Tampere. Austin competed in Open class for very first time and he got super critique from our judge, mr. Juha Kares:
"Maskuliininen, täynnä energiaa oleva näyttävä uros. Maskuliininen, aavistuksen vahva pää. Hyvä kaula. Suora, lyhyt olkavarsi ja hieman ulkonevat kyynärpäät. Vahva runko. Näyttävä turkki. Hyvä häntä. Näyttävät sivuliikkeet, hieman leveät edestä. "
"Masculine, showy male that is full of energy. Masculine, (slightly) strong head, good neck. Straight, short upper arm and little protruding elbows. Strong body. Showy coat. Good tail. Showy in side movement, little too wide in front."
Open Exc4, CQ.
I have much grooming things to learn, and I'm learning all the time.
But I don't think that I'm a bad groomer. Of course someone else could be disagree with me but that's his/hers opinion.
Let's groome our furry dogs and be happy that is summer time.
XoXoXo

Long time no see!
It's been a while from my new text, sorry for that. I have been so lazy (AGAIN!) to write anything, even we have had many things going on!
But here is little news flash for you :
Hugo aka Est JCh Jo-Kin's Northern Fear Factor is back in rings now for sure! He has competed in 4 times after February's Tallinna INT and he has always got and EXC with CQ and won his class. In Riga 2 x 9th Group show he was 2 x BM1, got 2 CC and was BOB & BOS!! In Finland at Vaasa Int he was BM3, got re-CAC & re-CACIB what will change to be CACIB! It's hes first one! :) Also he was BM3 in Kankaanpää Group Show.
Austin (Balt, Ee, Lv & Lt JCh) has also competed many times in past spring. He was BM4 in Latvian Winner, BM3 in Kankaanpää Group Show and he also got a re-CC from there.
I'm really looking forward this summers shows. Beverly will start her show hobby from Finnish Afghan Speciality (also called as Sa-Fa) on 08.06 when she will turn 9 months. Also Envy will compete firs time in champion class there. I hope that we will have a warm summer here in Finland (not too warm!! I'm hoping for +25 ) so we could enjoy all outdoor shows what we have here.
What else?
Ooh yeas I had a little holiday trip (also BDay trip) with my girl Mimmi in München! I have been on a airplane for one time before so when we left I was super nerves. All flights went well so I had nothing to be worried about.
I fell in love with that city right away, so many nice people, easy way to move around cause they have so good public transport in there. There was also + 25 almost whole weekend so it was so nice to be there after a long and cold winter. We tried to be good tourists so we went to see Dachau Concentration Camp. It was a terrible place, u couldn't believe that so many people where killed there just cause one persons hate towards them.
We also partied really hard, all nights we went out. There was soooooo many nice restaurants and bars what we visited, and it wasn't that expensive to eat out.
I took many pics from our trip, hope that Mimmi will send them soon to me so I can share all off them with u!
But that's all for now folks, today it's again a doggy washing day, tomorrow we are of to Tampere Int with Austin and Hugo :)
p.s That big thing I was talking about is still on its way. Hopefully I can present it to you soon. But I can tell you that show dog people will be happy to have something new to use! ;) ;)
